WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's James O'Sullivan and Katie Garofolo-Ro have been named as the BIG EAST Men's and Women's Players of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. Additionally, Georgetown's duo of O'Sullivan and Burke Pablo has been named the BIG EAST Men's Doubles Team of the Week.
 
James O'Sullivan | So. | Nice, France

• O'Sullivan posted a 2-0 record in No. 1 singles in Thursday's 4-3 victory over Loyola Maryland and No. 2 singles Sunday's 7-0 sweep against Saint Joseph's.
• The sophomore picked up a 6-3, 6-4, straight-set win over Loyola's Petter Hagen and rallied from behind to defeat Saint Joseph's Ernesto Ruy, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4.

 
James O'Sullivan | So. | Nice, France & Burke Pablo | Gr. | Bethesda, Md.

• Pablo and O'Sullivan picked up a No. 1 doubles win over Loyola Maryland's Nick Lawliss and Ryan Gill to help the Hoyas secure the doubles point and edge Loyola in a 4-3 win.
• This is Pablo's first weekly honor of the season and the second for O'Sullivan this year.

 
Katie Garofolo-Ro | Jr. | Houston, Texas

• Garofolo-Ro went 3-0 in No. 3 singles over the weekend, helping the Hoyas pick up 7-0 sweeps over Seton Hall and Saint Joseph's.
• The Houston native secured a trio of straight-set victories against Seton Hall's Anastasia Sereda, St. John's Nao Kojima and Saint Joseph's Elena Fleming.
• This is Garofolo-Ro's first weekly award of the season.

Georgetown men's tennis returns to action on Wednesday against St. John's, while women's tennis takes on UConn on Thursday. Both matches will be played at the Junior Tennis Champions Center.
