WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's softball team fell 9-5 in the series finale to visiting Butler on Sunday afternoon at the Mount Vernon Sports Complex. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 15-19 overall and 8-10 in BIG EAST play. The Bulldogs improve to 19-17 overall and 11-7 in league play.

How it Happened
- Butler got on the board first in the top of the first inning, but the Hoyas responded with a run in the second and another three in the third to lead 4-1.
- The Bulldogs rallied for five runs in the sixth, and after a single run from the Hoyas in the bottom of the sixth, Butler tacked on another three runs for the 9-5 advantage.
Butler Notes
- The Bulldogs posted 11 hits on the day, including a 3-for-3 performance from Olivia Robards and a pair of doubles from Hailey Conger.
- Katie Petran (8-6) earned the win with two innings of relief work while Rylyn Dyer picked up her first save of the season.
