WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University softball team put together an impressive performance on Friday as the squad blanked the Seton Hall University Pirates, 8-0, in six innings in a BIG EAST Conference victory at the Mount Vernon Softball Complex in Washington, D.C. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 12-13 overall and 5-6 in league play, while the Pirates fall to 13-19 on the season and 3-11 in the BIG EAST.

Hoya Highlights
- Devyn Johnson led the way going 1-for-3 with four RBIs and a run scored as she tallied a home run for the second-straight game.
- Nina Sarlo added a 1-for-2 performance with her first career homer to manage two RBIs and a run scored.
- Taylor Francis was solid going 1-for-1 with a run scored and an RBI to her credit.
- Marina Egbert pitched all six innings in the circle with one strikeout to pick up the win.
How it Happened
- With runners on the corners in the bottom of the first, a double steal allowed Brooke Rebhan to scamper home as GU took the early 1-0 lead.
- Sarlo's homer to left in the next inning resulted in two runs crossing the plate.
- In the bottom of the fifth, Johnson sent one over the left-field fence bringing three more Hoyas home as GU took the commanding 5-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the six, Francis' bases-loaded single put the Hoyas in a solid position before the Pirates walked in a run to end the contest, 8-0, in six innings.
