WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's soccer junior forward
Mitchell Baker was named to the 2026 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy Watch List on Wednesday. He was one of 27 Division I men's players selected.

- The forward was named the BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-BIG EAST squad.
- Baker was recently called up to the Indonesian Men's National Team to play in the ASEAN Hyundai Cup where he scored a hat trick in his debut match and tallied four goals in the tournament. Indonesia went 2-1-1 in the event.
- Last season, Baker was named a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist and Second Team All-American as well as First Team All-East Region by the United Soccer Coaches and unanimous First Team All-BIG EAST.
- Baker started all 21 games he appeared in and ranked second on the squad in scoring with 14 goals and three assists for 31 points on the year.
- His five game winners led the BIG EAST Conference and ranked sixth in the nation.
- Baker was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week once this past season as well as earning three nods to the weekly honor roll.
- He was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament team following Georgetown's victory.
- This is his first time on the preseason watch list.
About the MAC Hermann Trophy
- The BIG EAST managed two honorees including Baker.
- The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by voting of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.
- The 2026 watch list was compiled by members of the Division I Men's All-America Council from a list of returning 2025 All-Americans and First Team All-Region players. A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4 at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes, and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
