Box Score WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team defeated William & Mary 3-2 in a neutral site showdown in Richmond, Virginia on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Hoyas even their record to 3-3 on the season while the Tribe falls to 1-4 overall.
 
Riley Fitzgerald, Colleen Maloney and Caroline Suko each scored for the Hoyas with Adelae Chierici and Tatum Johnson chipping in an assist.
 
Lindsay Morin was credited with a defensive save.
 
In goal, Ella Fahey (1-0) made her first start of the season and collected one save.
 
Georgetown's defense held W&M to just two shots in the opening half with just one coming on target. The Tribe scored their two goals late in the fourth quarter, the first with less than five minutes to play and the final with 20 seconds left on the clock.
 
Ava Rossman and Lily Johnson both scored for William & Mary. Alexandra de Jesus (1-4) had five saves in the loss.
