Field Hockey Travels to Face Towson, Lock Haven

WASHINGTON – Coming off a 1-1 opening weekend, Georgetown University's field hockey team heads north for another pair of road games over the weekend. The Hoyas take on Towson on Friday at 2 p.m. in Maryland before battling Lock Haven on Sunday at noon in Pennsylvania.

About the Hoyas

Georgetown went 1-1 to open the 2026 campaign. The Hoyas defeated Davidson 2-1 on Friday evening before falling 2-1 at App State on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Adelae Chierici scored the game winner against the Wildcats while freshman Tatum Johnson scored her first career goal. Izzy Lee and Elena Perez Alejandro both had a pair of assists in the win.
Against the Mountaineers, Kate McManaman tallied GU's lone goal courtesy of an assist from Kaitlin Brice. Alex Duff had 12 saves against App State, including five in the overtime frame.
On the year, Duff (1-1) has a 1.34 goals-against average with 13 saves and a .813 save percentage.

Scouting Towson

Friday's game is slated for 2 p.m. in Towson, Maryland.
The Tigers are 0-2 to start the year with a 1-0 loss to App State and a 4-0 loss to Davidson.
Riley Redding (0-2) has started both games in goal for Towson and has a 2.63 GAA with six saves and a .545 save percentage.
Georgetown defeated the Tigers 2-0 last season at Towson. Ellie Johnson and Elizabeth Rossotti both scored for the Hoyas while Ella Fahey collected a pair of saves in the shutout victory.

Scouting Lock Haven

Sunday's game is set for noon in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
The Bald Eagles went 1-1 last season with a 5-2 win against Mercyhurst and an 8-0 loss at Penn State.
Maddie Friend had three goals and two assists against Lakers while Melanie Beall added two goals as well. Haley Kvacky and Max Russell both tallied assists in the win.
In the loss at PSU, Quinty van Luijk had 13 saves in 55:33 of action.
Georgetown defeated the Bald Eagles 4-1 last season in Towson, Maryland. Sydney Yodh had a goal and an assist while Katherine Malloy, Riley Fitzgerald and Lily Saal each scored lone goals with Anna Gill adding an assist. Duff had three saves in 30 minutes of action to earn the victory between the pipes.
