As a senior was named an All-American, first team all-state, all-region and all-district ... As a junior, he was also an all-state selection as well as his First Team All-District and all-region awards ... Holds his high school record in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle ... Also competed for his club team Dad's Club Swim Team where he was a four-year starter ... Out of the pool he was twice an Academic All-American and an Eagle Scout where he was a recipient of the Eagle Scout Award.
