Biography

2015-16: Khanin went 5-11 in singles play and 4-5 in doubles play ... Posted a 3-1 record in spring singles play, defeated Tyler Lu of Yale, 6-3, 5-7, 15-13, Santiago Canate of Temple, 6-1, 7-5, and Danil Zelenkov of George Washington, 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-2 in that stretch ... Won three matches in a row stretching from March 8-11, defeated Greg Lyon and Steven Chen of Wesleyan, 6-3, and Richard Han and Adrian Cordova of UC San Diego, 6-2, with partner Jack Murphy, beat Caryl Hernandez and Luca Marquard, 6-2, with Mac Rechan. 2014-15: Went 6-10 in singles play during the 2014-2015 season... highlights from the spring season include wins over opponents from Campbell, Marist, Temple and Villanova... also went 7-3 in doubles play for the Hoyas, including a three-match win streak from January 16-March 8... went 2-1 with both Marco Lam and Jordan Portner... during the fall, his season was highlighted by a 6-3, 7-5 defeat over Alexis Baguelin of UDC... had a two-match win streak in September.

2013-14: In his sophomore season during the fall schedule, Khanin went 4-6 in singles play with victories over Johns Hopkins' Nick Garcia, 4-6; 6-0; 10-1, ASA's Rafael Alvarex, 6-3; 6-2, which were both at the Georgetown Classic...Also defeated Palmer Campbell of Middlebury College, 6-2; 6-2, at the Margaux Powers Memorial Tournament in Providence, R.I. and Rafael Ribas, 6-1, 6-2, at the ITA Regionals...Khanin went 4-2 in fall doubles play with three victories while being paired with Alex Tropiano and one with Max Novak....Finished the spring season with a singles record of 10-11 and a 5-9 mark in doubles...Had three two-match win streaks over the course of the spring....His spring season included a win against Francisco Dias of No.-54 ranked George Washington...Went 2-1 in doubles with Alex Tropiano as his partner, 2-8 when partnered with Casey Distaso and 1-0 when partnered with Max Novak...Wins with Casey Distaso included an 8-2 victory against Sinan Ipeker and Ulrik Thomsen of No.-54 ranked George Washington on April 11.

2012-13: In his freshman season, Khanin went 15-17 in singles play, at one point winning three matches in a row from March 21 - March 30...Played in 31 doubles matches over the fall and spring seasons, going 18-13 while playing with Shane Korber, Alex Tropiano, John Brosens, Keven Katz, Casey Distaso and Reese Milner...While being paired with Milner, the duo went 11-5...Khanin won six straight doubles matches from March 15 - April 3...Nominated to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
