Prior to Georgetown: Was a four-year member of the Darien High School swimming & diving team ... Was a four-time all-state and All-Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC) selection ... Helped lead Darien to three FCIAC Championships (2012-14), three Connecticut State Open Championships (2012-14) and four Class L Connecticut State Championships (2012-15) ... Holds the Darien record in the 200-yard medley relay, the 100-yard freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay ... Was also a four-year member of the Darien Blue club team ... Out of the pool, was a member of the National Honors Society and placed third in Behavioral Science at the Southern Connecticut Invitational Science and Engineering Fair.
