POSITION: Social Media Intern, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for creating content to educate the Georgetown community through the use of social media platforms. This intern will be working to further develop strategy for increasing Georgetown Athletics' presence on social media with new content and original ideas that help to educate on issues that relate to diversity, equity and inclusion. The applicant should have experience with graphic design and marketing, as well as a wide knowledge of all social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Tik Tok. The intern will create and implement creative campaigns on such platforms to engage the Georgetown community and promote DEI. The department is looking to expand the use of video and eye-catching graphics on platforms, so the applicant should be able to come up with ideas and then execute and produce them in a professional manner. A creative mind is essential to this position, as is hard work ethic and the willingness to learn and improve. This is a volunteer position that can be used for course credit.
