Big East Conference Hoya Saxa

Friends of Georgetown Rowing

Friends of Georgetown Rowing is a group of Hoya alumni student-athletes, who with parents, fans, and other friends, work closely with The Annual Fund for Georgetown Athletics, Georgetown Athletics Engagement, Georgetown Athletics Development, and Georgetown Athletic Department staff to advance Georgetown University and Georgetown University Athletics' strategic priorities for the men's and women's rowing programs.

Since it was established, Friends of Georgetown Rowing has supported the men's and women's rowing programs by:
• Celebrating the many accomplishments and anniversary events of Georgetown Rowing
• Sponsoring annual receptions for coaches, student-athletes, and alumni
• Supporting GU fundraising efforts and establishing endowment funds for the men's and women's programs
• Providing mentorship and networking opportunities for young alumni
• Soliciting alumni participation in fall head races, such as Head of the Charles and Head of the Schuylkill

If you are interested in volunteering to assist Friends of Georgetown Rowing, please contact FOGR President Pete Bautz at petebautz@outlook.com or Sarah Salzmann, Georgetown's Director of Athletics Engagement, at sarah.salzmann@georgetown.edu.
