2020 Women's Rowing Senior Tribute - Openweights

The Class of 2020 has given so much to the Women's Rowing Program over the past four years. I could not be more proud to have had the opportunity to coach each of these women. They have brought an incredible level of dedication, strength, tenacity and passion to every morning on the Potomac. An incredibly resilient group, their impact on the program is sure to last for years to come. I look forward to seeing each of them translate their unique strengths into life beyond Georgetown.

Grace Calavan
Grace has proven to be one of the most dedicated and gritty student athletes to come through Georgetown Women’s Rowing. An instant asset to the program upon arrival, Grace soon battled through months of injury only to make a return to all top boats once she was healthy. It was in her senior year that we saw Grace’s confidence, perseverance, and grit truly shine through. Grace challenged herself with new goals and made significant contributions this past year that will last for years to come. Ultimately, the example set by Grace, on how to manage and overcome adversity only to come back stronger than ever, will leave a lasting impact on the coming years.
