Team Impact The Georgetown baseball team welcomed the newest member of the program on October 7, 2019 as 7-year-old Drew Snapkowski officially became a Hoya. Drew, who hails from nearby Aldie, Virginia, joined the baseball program through Team IMPACT. Team IMPACT connects children facing serious or chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes. The child joins the athletic team and the student athletes join the child's support team. Throughout the journey, the child gains strength, camaraderie and support while the student athletes experience lessons of courage, resiliency and perspective they can't learn in a classroom.

Dog Tag Bakery The Hoyas have worked with Dog Tag Bakery in Washington, D.C. for the past two years to help package and prepare baked goods to be distributed to military veterans. Dog Tag Inc. seeks to build a bridge to business employment and a productive civilian life for the veterans and military families that have served our country. They provide a transformative opportunity for service-disabled veterans, military spouses and caregivers through a five-month fellowship, offering an education at Georgetown University and real life work experience at the bakery.

Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy The Hoyas have spent time during the fall seasons at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy, running youth clinics and helping coach the Challenger Division, a youth league for the mentally and physically disabled. The Washington Nationals Youth Academy's mission is to use the sports of baseball and softball as vehicles to foster positive character development, academic achievement, and improved health among youth from underserved communities in Washington, D.C. As a proud member of the Washington Nationals' Family, the Youth Baseball Academy's vision is to be an enduring community organization focused on nurturing the development of D.C. youth into thriving adults.
