FBall Be the Match
Be the Match
The Georgetown football team has partnered three times with Be The Match to sponsor a "Get In The Game, Save A Life" (GITG) bone marrow registry drive on the Hilltop. The Be The Match registry has been fostered by former Villanova Head Coach Andy Talley, who has dedicated more than 20 years to raising awareness about the need for marrow donors. Thousands of patients with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases depend on the Be The Match registry to find a match and Talley's aim is to increase the likelihood that all patients receive the life-saving transplants they need.

Friends of Jaclyn
The Georgetown football program adopted Elijah Davis and Jackson Dundon in 2014, and added Willie Hughes in 2016, through the Friends of Jaclyn (FOJ) Foundation. In addition to the trio having a standing invite to every practice and game, members of the team hang out with Jackson, Elijah and Willie when they are on campus, and also keep in touch via either a phone call, a text or through social media. The FOJ Foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers and to raise awareness through their Adopt-A-Child, Safe on the Sidelines and Guardian Angels Programs. They do this by pairing the afflicted child and their siblings with local high school and college sports teams, campus clubs and arts programs in their community.

Kids2College
The Hoyas took part in a panel discussion with Kids2College, talking to youths from local middle schools about their paths to a top level college. Kids2College is the only free, national program that uses career aspirations to expose middle school students to the value and accessibility of a higher education. Research indicates that for middle school students, linking careers, future earnings and dreams to higher education is critical to starting them on a path to college.

FBall Team Impact
Team Impact
The Hoyas added potentially its most impactful recruit on Wednesday morning when they welcomed 11-year old Dominic Stanley to the football family. Dominic, who hails from Hyattsville, Maryland, joined the football program through Team IMPACT. Team IMPACT connects children facing serious or chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes. The child joins the athletic team and the student athletes join the child's support team. Throughout the journey, the child gains strength, camaraderie and support while the student athletes experience lessons of courage, resiliency and perspective they can't learn in a classroom.
