Liz Sack joined the Georgetown University Field Hockey staff as an assistant coach beginning in the 2021 season and was promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2023 campaign. She helped lead the Hoyas to their best record in program history during the 2021 season.

Sack joined the Georgetown staff after four years on the sideline at St. Joseph's University. With the Hawks, Sack helped guide the team to the first three NCAA Tournament berths in program history. The Hawks ended the 2018 season ranked 10th in the final NFHCA Coaches Poll, the highest ranking in program history.

As an assistant coach at SJU, Sack mentored six All-American athletes during her tenure and won three Atlantic 10 championships between 2017 and 2020.

At the end of her second year on Hawk Hill, Sack was selected to take part in the annual NCAA Women Coaches Academy. The Women Coaches Academy is a partnership between the WeCoach organization and the NCAA that promotes visible women in leadership positions.

Originally from Havertown, Pennsylvania, Sack began coaching after a successful career as a student-athlete at Syracuse University. In her final three seasons with the Orange, Sack secured a regular spot in the lineup and scored 12 goals with 7 assists for a total of 31 career points. Sack is ranked third all-time in Syracuse program history with 13 NCAA tournament points.

Sack started in consecutive National Championship games for The Orange in 2014 and 2015. The team finished as the runners up in its first appearance with Sack on the pitch before taking home the championship in 2015.  The Orange's 2015 national championship was the first national title in program history, and Sack made the first assist in the game. Sack is tied for first in program history with six goals in the NCAA tournament, and she ranks third in program history with 13 NCAA Tournament points.

A 2017 Syracuse graduate, Sack recently completed her Master’s of Social Work with a focus on sport social work from Temple University in 2024. Throughout her studies at Temple, she worked as a player safeguarding intern for the United Soccer League and the U.S. Soccer Federation while also working for the Alliance of Sport Social Workers as a support staff intern.
