Lois Lekawael joined the Georgetown University Field Hockey staff as an assistant coach for the 2024 season. She played one season for the Hoyas has a graduate student in 2023 following her undergraduate playing career at Boston College.
Prior to joining the Hoya coaching staff, Lekawael interned in the Georgetown Athletics Marketing office during the spring of 2024. She went on to work with USA Basketball at the 2024 London Showcase and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris before returning to the Hilltop to help mentor the Blue & Gray.
With the Hoyas as a graduate student in 2023, Lekawael started 16 of 17 games for the Blue & Gray and tallied a pair of goals on the year.
As an undergrad, Lekawael played four seasons at Boston College, seeing action in 40 games with 13 starts for the Eagles. Boston College reached the NCAA Final Four and the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game her freshman season in 2019. Lekawael scored four goals during her time in Chestnut Hill and was a four-time All-ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient and on the Boston College Dean’s List.
A 2023 BC graduate, Lekawael also earned her Master’s of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown’s School of Continuing Studies.
