Molly MacDonnell

Molly MacDonnell was promoted to a full time assistant in 2017 after serving as a graduate assistant the year prior. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in sports industry management.

MacDonnell is a 2014 graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in sports management and a minor in economics. She played in 89 career games for UMass, totaling 36 points with 16 goals and four assists while winning three Atlantic 10 championships and making three NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship appearances. She scored a career-best 18 points as a senior, netting eight goals, including three game winners as the nationally-ranked Minutewomen advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals, winning 19 games, the second most in school history and most since 2000.

Off the field, MacDonnell was a three-time Dean's List and National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad honoree. She was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, active member of Women In Sports and Events and the UMass Women in Sports Management club.

Prior to Georgetown, MacDonnell worked as a group sales account executive and inside sales representative with the Boston Celtics as well as a member of the Boston Bruins Foundation game night staff. While at UMass, she was a grassroots and marketing intern with the Washington Kastles.
