In addition to Folkerts, he also recruited and signed Cary Williams and Michael Wilhoite, Joe Hastings and Trey Lewis who have all played in the NFL. With the Ichabods, Miller also served as offensive line coach, where his line blocked for the program's all-time leading rusher and all-time leading passer. Miller also served as the team's academic coordinator, producing two Academic All-Americans, five Academic All-Region, and 74 Academic All-Conference winners. Before Washburn, Miller coached at University of Minnesota, Crookston for five seasons (1997-2002), where he last served as Associate Head Coach. Miller had also worked as the offensive coordinator, where he worked with offenses that set 17 team and individual records.
