2016-17: Portner posted a 6-12 singles record and a 10-15 mark in doubles play during his senior season ... Started the fall with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory over Ander Murillo of UDC ... Won four out of five doubles matches from February 4 to March 7 against challengers from Boston College, Morgan State, UC San Diego, and UC Irvine ... Clinched a hard-fought 7-6, 7-5 victory over Gabriel Pilones of Navy on April 2 ... Teamed up with Marco Lam to win three-straight doubles contests in April, beating pairs from Navy, Temple, and Emory ... Won his final doubles match, 6-2, over Mason Dragos and Spencer Lang of Butler in the BIG EAST Championship.

2015-16: The junior posted a 1-4 overall record in singles play and a 14-10 record in doubles play ... Runner-up in Flight A Doubles of the Joe Hunt Invitational with partner Peter Beatty ... Won four matches in a row with partner Peter Beatty stretching from September 16-27, took down opponents from UDC, Mary Washington, Navy and Army ... Went 9-6 in doubles play with partner Michael Chen ... BIG EAST All-Academic selection.

2014-15: Portner went 2-1 overall in singles play and 9-6 in doubles... singles victories came over Treajh Ferguson, 6-2, 6-4, and Sagar Sathyanarayaman, 6-0, 6-1, of Morgan State University... highlights from spring doubles play includes a five-match win streak from March 8-April 2 with victories over opponents from UC San Diego, UC Irvine, Temple, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Temple... posted his best marks with Alex Tropiano as he went 3-2 and Daniel Khanin at 2-1 ... BIG EAST All-Academic selection ... ITA All-Academic.

2013-14: In the fall session of his freshman campaign, Portner went 2-5 in singles play...His two victories came against Yale's Patrick Chase, 6-2; 6-4, in the consolation bracket at the Farnsworth Invitational and against UMBC's Andrew Pagan, 6-0; 6-0, at the Georgetown Classic...He played in four fall doubles matches in the fall; one with each of Shane Korber, John Brosens, Daniel Khanin and Jack Murphy but the pairs were not able to win any as Portner went 0-4 in fall doubles play...Had a spring singles record of 1-2 and a doubles record of 6-3...In singles, his win came in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, against D. Lunding-Johansson of Mary Washington during an away contest...In doubles play, posted a record of 1-0 when partnered with Shane Korber...1-0 with John Brosens, 1-0 with Casey Distaso, 0-1 with Max Novak and 3-2 with Jack Murphy...Won two in a row over Jeremy Court and Vim De Alwis of the University of Pennsylvania with partner Shane Korber...Rattled off a second two-win streak with Jack Murphy as his partner; the first was a win over Nikita Fomin and Azan Piperno of the No.-54 ranked George Washington Colonials, the second was a triumph over Daniel Grauel and Pascal Domnik of Norfolk State...final win of the spring season came with Jack Murphy as his partner against Michael Rosengren and Matt Colonnese of Villanova ... Prior to Georgetown: A four-year letterwinner at Mount Saint Joseph...Served as team captain his senior year...Won the MIAA Championships his junior and senior years...Nominated to the All-Tournament team at the national high school tournament in Kentucky his junior year...Reached as high as the third ranked tennis player in the Mid-Atlantic Boys 18...Ranked in the Top 50 in the country for Boys 16 Singles...Represented the United States at a tennis tournament in India...Was an honor roll student all four years of high school.
