Biography

2015:Appeared in and started all 47 games for the Blue & Gray as a junior... had a batting average of .237 with 31 hits, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored and three home runs... posted a slugging percentage of .351 and an on base percentage of .318... went 7-of-8 in stolen bases... had six two-hit games over the course of the season, the first came on Feb. 6 versus Indiana State and the last was on April 25 against Providence... recorded three RBI on three separate occasions with the first coming on Feb. 14 against UNC Wilmington and the last on April 8 at Towson.

2014:Started 43 games and made 44 appearances during her sophomore season ... Recorded 26 hits with three doubles, one triple and two home runs ... Tallied 13 runs batted in and scored 20 runs... Had an on-base percentage of .325 ... Led the team with 10 sacrifice hits ... Tied for the second most stolen bases (4) ... One of eight with an on-base percentage over .300 and at least 100+ at-bats

2013: Appeared in 20 games in her freshman campaign ... Made nine starts ...Recorded two singles in her 20 at-bats.

Prior to Georgetown: Appelbe started every game at shortstop during her four years at Xavier Colege Prep, and was a team captain as a senior, leading her team to a region championship...She was a 2010 All-Region second team selection and two time honorable mention...Appelbe played club softball for the Arizona Storm and Arizona Hotshots...She received the 4-year Scholar Athlete Award, earned First Honors throughout high school, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
