Biography

2011 - Started all 53 games for Georgetown, 20 as pitcher, five at first base and three at third base...Named to the Softball All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second consecutive season...Named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on March 29 after batting .550 (11-for-20) with a home run and six RBI in six games...Pitched a season-high eight innings against Longwood (4/14)...Led the team with 48 games started as the designated hitter...Led the team with five homeruns...Posted 18 runs, 43 hits, and 15 RBI[apos]s.

2010 - Started all 51 of Georgetown[apos]s games, including 21 on the mound ... Was named Second Team All-BIG EAST ... Had 17 multi-hit games, including six straight from 3/23 - 3/31 ... Went 3-for-3 with three RBI[apos]s, including two first inning HR[apos]s to lift GU past Rhode Island 18-5 (3/25) ... Named to the BIG EAST Weekly honor roll on 3/29 ... Tossed 4.0 one-hit innings to earn a victory against George Mason (3/31) ... Went 3-for-3 with two RBI[apos]s and a double against George Mason (3/31) ... Went 4-for-4 with an RBI in the Hoyas win over Syracuse (4/2) ... Shut-out Rutgers, 1-0 with a 7.0 inning complete game, allowing just two hits and striking out two (4/28).

2009 - Started 43 of 43 games played, splitting time on the mound and as the designated player ... Named third team All BIG EAST after leading the Hoyas in eight offensive categories including batting (.325), HR[apos]s (5), RBI[apos]s (23) and total bases (66) ... Drove in a season-high four runs to help complete an 8-7 comeback victory in extra-innings over Princeton (3/6) ... Notched her first career victory against East Carolina, allowing just one run over 4.1 innings (3/11) ... Went 4-for-4 with three RBI[apos]s and a game-winning, walk-off home run in the Hoyas 6-5 victory over Longwood (3/29) ... Earned her first conference victory over Providence, allowing two runs over 7.0 innings while striking out five ... Homered and pitched 5.0 innings allowing two runs to earn the victory against JMU (4/22) ... Tossed 9.0 innings of one-hit shut-out ball, striking out three to earn a 1-0 victory over St. John[apos]s (5/2).

High School - Carter, a Merriam, Kan. native, was a three-year letterwinner for the Mission Viejo High School softball team in Mission Viejo, Calif. She earned South Coast League Athlete of the Year, going 11-3 with a 0.22 ERA during her senior year. Carter was named league MVP in both her junior and senior years, leading her team to league championships in both seasons.
