Heba El Torky enters hers third season at the helm of the Georgetown University squash team for the 2026-27 season. Just the second head coach in program history, she has help develop the Hoyas into a perennial top-15 national program in the College Squash Association.
 
During her time on the Hilltop, El Torky has produced six All-Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference players, nine CSA Scholar-Athletes and 19 MASC All-Academic honorees. In her first season guiding the program in 2024-25, the Hoyas won the CSA Kurtz Cup Championship for the second-straight year and was honored with the CSA Chaffee Award for sportsmanship.
 
Prior to taking over the Georgetown program, El Torky spent the 2023-24 season on staff with CSA National Runner-Up Princeton. In her lone season with the Tigers, she helped guide Princeton to a 12-3 record before falling to top-ranked National Champion Trinity in the CSA Howe Cup Final. Three Tigers earned CSA All-American honors under her tutelage.
 
No stranger to the DMV, El Torky was the head coach at Potomac School in McLean, Virginia from 2021-23 and led the Panthers to a pair of Mid-Atlantic Squash Organization Championships. She also served as a Premiere Coach at Georgetown’s home facility, Squash On Fire, as well as coaching with several clubs in the area.
 
A standout on the court during her playing days, El Torky was a member of the Egyptian Squash National Team program from 2002-18. She helped Egypt win Women’s World Junior Championships in 2007 and 2009 as well as a Women's World Championship title in 2008 while being honored with a presidential Highest Sports Award. El Torky captained the 2009 team and the 2012 team that won the 2012 Women’s Arab Championship in Jordan.
 
As a professional, El Torky was ranked as high as No. 19 in the world with the Professional Squash Association with 12 tournament victories under her belt. She was also selected as a representative for the International Players Squash Association Committee.
 
El Torky graduated from Alexandria University in her native Egypt in 2012 with a degree in pharmaceutical sciences.
