Tim Lasusa

Tim Lasusa is in his second season at the helm of the Georgetown University squash program after being hired as the program’s inaugural head coach in September of 2021. He came to the Hilltop after four seasons as an assistant coach at Yale.

In his first season on the Hilltop, Lasusa guided the Hoyas to a 10-13 overall record and a runner-up finish in the Epps Division at the College Squash Association National Championships. Five Hoyas were named CSA Scholar-Athletes and 10 were named to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference All-Academic Team.

Lasusa previously served as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at Yale under coach Dave Talbott. He guided the men’s squad to top-five finish in 2019 and guided the women’s team to a top-three finish in the 2020 CSA rankings. Prior to his time in New Haven, Lasusa coached at the Round Hill Club in Greenwich, Connecticut and helped mentor several of the top U.S. junior players in the country.

A standout on the court himself, Lasusa played on both the PSA World Tour and the SDA Pro Tour, reaching the US Singles National Championship quarterfinals in 2017.

Lasusa graduated from St. Lawrence in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in art/art history and a minor in sports studies and exercise science. He played all four years for the Saints, helping St. Lawrence to a No. 1 ranking in 2015 and serving as captain of the 2016 National Championship semifinalist team.
