- Served as captain and three-year starter at John W. North High School.
- Named first-team all-league and team MVP in junior year
- Recorded 1,119 career points, including a career-high 37 in a playoff game as a junior
- Averaged 13.9 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, 6.6 rebounds per game and 2.3 steals per game in high school
- Played AAU basketball with California Storm for two seasons, beginning as a senior under coaches George Quintero, Aundre Cummings and Alex SchloemanÂ
