Talareah Campbell came to the Hilltop in 2020 after three years at UMBC. In her role with the Hoyas she oversees the academic needs for the women's basketball team.
At UMBC, she served as an academic advisor for the Retrievers' women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse programs. In addition, she also served as the learning specialist and tutor coordinator for the Athletics Department.Â
Prior to UMBC, Campbell worked at its sister institution Maryland Eastern Shore for four years. There, she served as coordinator of student services and academic advisor following a two-year stint as a compliance coordinator.
At The Shore, Campbell oversaw community service projects for all student-athletes and was the program advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Moreover, she implemented workshops, programs and events for student-athletes to develop their social, academic and professional skills.
Campbell earned two degrees from Eastern Shore receiving a bachelor's in sociology in 2010 and obtaining her master's in counseling education in 2016. Campbell resides in Laurel, Md. with her husband.
