Serra Sevenler first started with Georgetown in fall of 2023 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for women's rowing.
Sevenler joined the Hoyas following two seasons as the director of rowing at the University of Rochester. During their time at Rochester, they led the Yellowjackets to a second place finish in the Liberty League Championship. Under their leadership, the team named six all-league rowers and won eight gold medals at the Head of the Genesee Regatta.
Prior to their time at Rochester, Sevenler worked as an assistant coach at Columbia University in the 2020-21 season.
Sevenler also worked as the women's varsity coach at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Sevenler competed as an athlete at Rochester as well, captaining their rowing team during their senior and junior years as a Yellowjacket. During their senior year, their efforts had her named to the All-Liberty League Team. Following graduation, Sevenler worked as the head men's coach at Rochester from 2017-2018.
At University at Buffalo Sevenler served as a graduate assistant coach while earning a master's degree in Higher Education Administration.
