Alicia Mitchell joined the Hoya sports medicine staff in the summer of 2024. Her primary sport responsibilities are football and women's Lacrosse along with administrative duties.

Mitchell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at William Paterson University. She was a student athletic trainer with the William Paterson football, softball and baseball team along with a pair of local high schools while also completing a summer internship with the New York Football Giants.

A two-sport student-athlete at Williams Patterson, Mitchell played both field hockey and tennis. She then attended the University of South Carolina, earning a Master's of Science in Advanced Athletic Training. While at South Carolina, Mitchell served as an athletic training graduate assistant for the Newberry College football and men's lacrosse teams as well as at Lower Richland High School.

Mitchell is certified in Grastons Module 1. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the College Athletic Trainers' Society, Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the District of Columbia Athletic Trainers’ Association.

A native of Parsippany, New Jersey, Mitchell currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
