Cheri Hodges was named the associate director of athletics for administration in September of 2023. Hodges came to the Hilltop from the University of Akron where she served as the associate athletics director for compliance since the fall of 2022. At Georgetown, she oversees administrative efforts and human resources as well as serving as a sport administrator. 

In her role at Akron, Hodges oversaw the Zips' compliance efforts for all 15 sports, including oversight for all bylaws and assistance with NIL.

Hodges came to Akron after serving four years as the director of compliance at East Carolina, where she led the Pirates' compliance efforts, including oversight of Bylaw 11 – Personnel, Bylaw 13 – Recruiting, and Bylaw 17 – Playing and Practice Seasons. Hodges worked with all 18 sports, providing guidance for student-athlete promotional activities, assisted with rules education efforts and monitored all on/off-campus recruiting activities. While at ECU, Hodges served as a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and the ECU ACE (Academics, Compliance, & Eligibility) Team.

No stranger to Washington, D.C., Hodges arrived at ECU from Howard University, where she served four years as the assistant director for student support services for compliance and academics. Prior to her time at Howard University, Hodges worked in the compliance department at Shaw University and was the men's and women's assistant track & field coach at Grambling State from 2010-13.

Hodges is a native of Raleigh, N.C. and a graduate of Norfolk State University, where she received her bachelor's degree in accountancy and was a Division I track & field student-athlete. She also holds a masters degree in sports administration and a Ed.D. in higher education administration and management from Grambling State University.
