Dr. DeVonna Jacobs

Dr. Jacobs was born and raised in Oakland, California. She completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Mary’s College of California, studying child/adolescent psychology, and then went on to complete her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, Calif. Jacobs completed her internship and post doctoral fellowship at organizations focused on serving marginalized communities, providing trauma informed and culturally accountable care.

Jacobs came to the Hilltop from Johns Hopkins University where she provided clinical services to university students, as well as serving as the coordinator for LGBTQ+ students. Her areas of interest include identity development, life transitions, athletics, performance stress and anxiety, sexuality, and adjustment challenges. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in the District of Columbia, Maryland and California. 

Dr. Jacobs believes that we all need people along our journey to support us, uplift us and to help us grow, thrive and achieve wellness, especially in the arena of mental health. She strives to be a part of that network for her clients, to assist in fostering healing, growth and joy. In her free time Dr. Jacobs enjoys hiking, reading, escape rooms and baking.
