TJ Aanenson

TJ Aanenson joined Georgetown University Sports Performance in 2022, and currently oversees all areas of physical preparation for women’s soccer, including speed development, strength training, conditioning, recovery and readiness monitoring. He utilizes Catapult GPS, VALD force-plate technology and wellness data to provide performance metrics, individualized loading plans and semester-long physical profiles for student-athletes and sport staff.

Before joining Georgetown’s full-time staff, Aanenson served as an assistant sports performance coach overseeing the training of women’s crew, men’s cross country, and women’s soccer on an interim basis.  He previously completed a graduate assistantship at Lamar University, where he supported softball, track & field, baseball and football. He has also served in internship capacities at the University of Minnesota and Chadron State College, where he assisted with team training, athlete monitoring and recovery protocols.

Aanenson holds CPSS, SCCC, CSCS, and Precision Nutrition Level 1 certifications. He earned a Master’s degree in kinesiology from Lamar University and a Bachelor’s degree in sport management & exercise science from Chadron State College.
