Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University football coach Bob Benson announced that Melvin Jones (Upper Marlboro, Md./Roosevelt) has transferred to the school from Hofstra University. Jones, a standout wide receiver during his high school days at Roosevelt and at Fork Union Academy, will be eligible to play during the 2002 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
