Football Hosts Marist on Saturday

Saturday's Game - Georgetown vs. Marist

Georgetown hosts its final home game of the 2002 season today. The Hoyas enter the game with a 3-5 overall record and a 1-4 mark in Patriot League play. GU has won two of its past three contests including last week?s 32-31 comeback victory over Bucknell. Marist is 5-3 overall and has lost its last two contests. Last Saturday the Red Foxes fell to Iona 17-14.

The Series

Today?s game is the ninth meeting all time between Georgetown and Marist. Georgetown has faced Marist every season since 1994, most of the games being MAAC Conference matchups. The Hoyas own a 7-1 overall record against the Red Foxes. Two of the Hoyas victories have been by one point while in two others GU has posted 41 points. The only loss for the Blue and Gray came last season when Marist was able to secure a 38-35 victory in overtime.
