Mashpee, Mass ? Georgetown Women?s Golf earned second place in the Harvard Invitational, the eight-team tournament held this past weekend (October 25th and 26th) at the New Seabury Dunes Course in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Sophomore Nicole Hayashi (Westlake Village, Calif.) was the top finisher for the Hoyas, tying for fourth place with a combined score of 164 (87, 77).
The tournament was won by Yale with a composite score of 660 over the two days. Yale?s Lauren Ressler finished at first place with a composite score of 159 (80, 79).
Georgetown finished with a composite score of 679. Hayashi shot the lowest single round score of the tournament, shooting a 77 on the second day. Junior Connie Isler (Annapolis, Md.) finished six shots behind Hayashi, with a score of 170 (83, 87) which earned her tenth place.
Freshman Maggie Ward (Rochester, N.Y.) tied at 14th with a score of 172 (87, 85). Sophomore Christy Larrimore (Severna Park, Md) tied for 19th with a combined score of 174 (86, 88). Freshman Rosalina Ascolani (Bonita, Calif.) tied for 31st place with a score of 182 (95, 87) and senior Simone Petrella finished one shot behind Ascolani with a score of 183 (94, 89). Sophomore Erin Cockren (Westfield, N.J.) tied at 36th with a 185 (87, 98) and senior Gillian Fell (Locust Valley, N.Y.) finished 39th, shooting 189 (90, 96).
The Hoyas? next tournament will be the Rollins Invitational at Pinehurst, North Carolina on Saturday and Sunday, November 3rd and 4th.
