The Skinny
Saturday's game marks the fifth straight season that the Wildcats and Hoyas have gotten together on the gridiron. In three of the four games the difference between the teams has been under four points with Georgetown winning the past two affairs 25-21 (2002) and 26-24 (2000). Both teams are looking to snap losing streaks as the Hoyas and Wildcats have both dropped their past three games.

Despite the final scores of Georgetown?s past three outings the Hoyas have been in each contest late into the second half. GU was only down 31-24 with 6:26 to play in the third against Lehigh. At Fordham the Hoyas faced a 21-10 deficit with under 10 minutes to play in the fourth and last weekend against Towson Georgetown was behind 14-6 with close to two minutes to play in the game. Two of the Hoyas? special teams units are rated the best in the Patriot League, kickoff coverage (16.8) and punt return average (13.2).

Davidson is averaging 138 yards on the ground and 214 through the air this season. The defense is allowing over 240 yards on the ground and giving up 234 passing yards. The offensive trio of quarterback Damion White, running back John Leverett and wide out Barrett Johnson have each produced or are close to 1,000 yard seasons, 1,266, 1,015 and 939 yards respectively.

Luke McArdle

YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW...
Matt Fronczke
sits fourth on Georgetown?s all-time tackle list with 223. He is a two-time captain and the first ever player selected to wear the Eacobacci Memorial Jersey #35.
