The Skinny
Georgetown and Davidson face each other for the sixth consecutive season today. Both teams are currently on losing streaks with Davidson falling in its past two contests and GU losing its past three. Georgetown has won three straight in the series after Davidson won the first two meetings. The last time GU traveled to Davidson was in 2002 and the Hoyas came out with a tight 25-21 victory. In last year?s matchup between the schools Georgetown racked up 395 yards on the ground and 506 yards overall on its way to a 30-10 win.

The Hoya offense came alive last week against #9 Lehigh with 384 yards of offense. The combination of Kim Sarin?s running and Andrew Crawford?s passing allowed GU to stay with the Mountain Hawks for most of the contest. Sarin had his fourth 100-yard game with 107 yards on 13 carries and Crawford hit 17-of-29 receivers for an efficient 187 yards. Freshman wideout Jasper Ihezie has had an impact the past three games scoring a rushing TD at Monmouth and returning a kickoff 90 yards for a score against Lehigh. Mehdi Hassan continues to lead the Hoya defense at the linebacker position. He is the Hoya leader in tackles per game with 8.1, which also ranks seventh in the Patriot League.

Davidson?s two wins this year have both come at home, defeating Butler 21-14 and Morehead State 14-10. The ?Cats are giving up 221.1 yards per game on the ground and just 162.1 through the air. Brendan Dete has 10.5 TFLs and Yeatts Anderson has three interceptions. Running back John Leverett and quarterback Damion White lead a balanced offense, which averages 161.5 yards on the ground and 165.8 through the air.
