(Sept. 21) The Georgetown University women's cross country team ranked 24th nationally in the Division I FinishLynx Cross Country poll as released today.
The Hoyas rank 24th after posting three finishers among the meet's top five en route to a second place finish at the James Madison University Cross Country Invitational last weekend.
Junior Elizabeth Maloy (Loudonville, NY/The Academy of Holy Names) garnered a second place finish with a time of 19:10 over the 5,100 meter course. Freshmen Lise Ogrodnick (Beaconsfield, Quebec/John Abbott H.S.) (19:50) and Kailin Collins (Mansfield, MA/Mansfield H.S.) (20:01) crossed the finish line in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Georgetown is in action again at the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh Univeristy on Oct 1.
