Washington, D.C. - In limited action at the Alex Wilson Invitational this weekend at the Loftus Sports Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, the Georgetown men's indoor track & field team posted NCAA provisional times in all four events they competed in.
Senior Chris Bonner (Weston, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) won the 800m race on Saturday afternoon, crossing in a personal best 1:49.29, also marking a NCAA provisonal time.
Also in action on Saturday, fellow senior Rod Koborsi (Houston, Texas/Jersey Village) was third in the 3000m with a provisional time of 7:59.34, setting a personal best. Meanwhile, classmate Tommy Manning (Lake Oswego, Ore./Jesuit) posted the fastest time by a Hoya so far this indoor season in the mile, finishing fifth with a provisonal time of 4:03.52, another personal record.
On Friday, Bonner, Koborsi, Manning and sophomore Matt Debole (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) placed eighth in the distance medley relay at 9:36.57, improving on the Hoyas previous NCAA provisional time.
