Bumbalough Finishes 41st at 2006 IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championships

Washington, D.C. - Georgetown freshman Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) placed 41st at the 2006 IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championship in Fukuoka, Japan on Sunday, April 2.

Bumbalough, who was named team captain earlier this week, ran a time of 25:41 to finished second among six American competitors in the field of 99. Mangata Kimai Ndiwa of Kenya won the event, crossing in 23:53.

On February 7, Bumbalough was fourth at the 2006 USA Junior Cross Country Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. to qualify for the World's.
