Bamigboye Leads Heptathlon After Day One of 2006 Penn Relays

Washington, D.C. - Georgetown freshman Buky Bamigboye (Brentwood, Tenn./University School) leads the Heptathlon after the completion of the first day of action at the 2006 Penn Relays on Tuesday. Bamigboye finished the first four events with a total of 3,051 points, including two first place showings.

Bamigboye began the day's action by winning the 100m hurdles with a personal best time of 14.52. She then followed by clearing 5'3.25" in the high jump and tossing 32'9" in the shot put. Bamigboye concluded the afternoon with her second win and second personal record, a 25.06 time in the 200m.

The final four events of the Heptathlon begin tomorrow at 11 a.m.
