Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University indoor track & field team sent a small contingency to the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup hosted by Penn State University.
In day one action on Friday, sophomore Terrell Gissendanner (Rochester, N.Y./Edison Tech) placed fifth in the 55m hurdles in 7.53, a personal record and an IC4A time. He also was ninth in the long jump, jumping 22'10" (6.96m).
In the 60m dash, freshman Ian Conyers (Detroit, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit) qualified for the upcoming BIG EAST Championships in his first event, crossing in 7.06 to finish 17th.
Sophomore Buky Bamigboye (Brentwood, Tenn./University School) was fourth in the long jump, covering a distance of 18'11.75" (5.78m).
