Washington, D.C. - Miami (Ohio) saw four of their individuals in the top-20 after round one in the Georgetown Intercollegiate, and all four were still there after round two to help them win the Georgetown Intercollegiate. Aaron Crist shot a three-over 74 to lead Miami, and as a team they finished with a 22-over par 590.

The participants had to compete with delays due to frost on the course during the tournament. During the final round on Tuesday the golfers had to contend with strong winds that significantly effected scores. The tournament was shortened from 54 holes to 36 holes because of the weather.

Miami (Ohio) finished with a 22-over par 590 and won by a five-stroke lead over William & Mary, second at 27- over par 595. Richmond followed close behind in third with a 31-over 599, beating out fourth place Minnesota, 36- over 604. Georgetown rounded out the top five with a 38-over 606.

William and Mary senior Doug Hurson from Bethesda, Md. shot an impressive one-over 143 and edged out Crist by one shot, two-over 144. Richmond junior Robert Lindstrom was right behind with a three-over 145. Senior Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) and junior Vincenzo Salina (Vandoeuvres, Switzerland/Institut Florimont) led the Hoyas, posting an eight-over 150 and a nine-over 151, respectively. Those scores put them in the top-20 individuals, Logan coming in tied for ninth and Salina tied for 16th.

Senior Tim Hager (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) shot a four-over 75 on the day to put him at 10-over 152 and a tie for 21st.

The Hoyas moved from a sixth place tie after round one to a fifth place finish. Hager and Logan both shot fourover 75 for the day, with a two-over 73 being the best score in the windy conditions.
