WASHINGTON, D.C. - Georgetown University senior DL Ataefiok Etukeren (Litchfield Park, Ariz./The Lawrenceville School[N.J.]) and junior DB Travis Mack (West Chester, Pa./The Hill School) were named to the 2008 Patriot League Football second team when the honors were announced by the league on Tuesday morning. The 2008 All-Patriot League football team was selected by the league's seven head coaches.

Holy Cross senior quarterback Dominic Randolph earned his second consecutive Offensive Player of the Year honor, while Lafayette senior linebacker Andy Romans earned Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year. Colgate freshman RB Nate Eachus took home Rookie of the Year honors and Dick Biddle of Colgate claimed Coach of the Year.

Etukeren, a three-year starter for the Blue & Gray, was second in the Patriot League in tackles for loss with 13 and tied for fifth with 4.5 sacks, while finishing fourth on the Hoyas with 61 tackles in 10 games. The 6-3, 240-pound defensive-lineman recorded 21.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks over his three-year career. Etukeren was named also named to the 2008 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 2 First Team, carrying a 3.33 cumulative grade-point average in operations management, with minors in marketing and theology.

Mack, a two-year starter, finished ninth in the Patriot League in tackles with 6.9 tackles per game. The 6-0, 190-pound safety has totaled 166 tackles in his three years on the Hilltop. Mack has started in 26 consecutive games for the Hoyas dating back to his freshman year.

The last Georgetown football player to earn second team All Patriot League honors was Kyle Van Fleet, following the 2007 season.
