Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's golf team returns home this week to host the Hoya Invitational on Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1 at The Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md.

Coming off a pair of top-10 team finishes, the Hoya women's golf team is eager to return to its home course and seeks to improve upon its fourth place finish in last year's Hoya Invitational.

Georgetown tied for ninth place at the Lacrosse Homes Collegiate Invitational last weekend, backed by a second place showing from junior Chelsea Curtis (Hyannis, Mass./Cape Cod Academy), who shot a six-over par 150. Curtis was tied for the individual lead after firing a first round two-under par 70. Junior Carly Hunt (Easton, Pa./Conestoga) tied for 11th place at 15-over par 159.

The Hoya women's golf team opened the spring season on March 8 with a sixth place team finish at the NIU Springlake Invitational. Curtis tied for fourth place at 11-over par 155 and Hunt tied for 14th place at 17-over par 161.

The Members Club at Four Streams became the new home for the Hoya men's and women's golf programs during the 2006-07 school year. An exclusive, member-owned private club located north of Potomac, Md., Members Club at Four Streams features greens, tees and fairways with a new bent-grass that will ensure superb playing conditions year-round, and the course is set on rolling land with visual drama from many vantage points. Members club at Four Streams also features a world-class practice complex.

The 14-team field includes the host Hoyas, as well as Boston College, Columbia, Lehigh, Nova Southeastern, Penn, Princeton, Rollins College, Rutgers, St. John's, Sacred Heart, Siena, Wagner and Yale.
