WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's golf team placed sixth this weekend at the Tribe Invitational, hosted by William and Mary University. Junior Eunae Jo (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished seventh overall, shooting a first round 77 (+6), and a second round 3-over par 74. The Hoyas shot a first round 312 (+28) and a second round 33-over par 317. Georgetown carded a final score of 61-over par 629 and finished in sixth place at the Tribe Invitational.
Western Carolina University won the tournament, shooting a 30-over par 598. Morehead State-KY finished a close second, notching a 599 (+31), and Wofford College shot a 46-over par 614 to round out the top three.
Junior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) finished in a tie for 13th overall, scoring a first round 75 (+4), and carding a final score of 11-over par 153.
Freshman Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Holy Cross) shot a first round 77 (+6) and a 7-over par 78 on day two to finish in a tie for 15th place. Freshman Audrey Dalton (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy) tied for 43rd place at the Tribe Invitational. Dalton shot a first round score of 83 (+12) on her way to a 28-over par 170. Sophomore Jordan Redfield (Ft. Mitchell, Ky./ Beechwood) shot a 32-over par 174 and placed in a tie for 50th place.
The Hoyas wrapped up their fall season slate with the Tribe Invitational and will not return to competitive play until March 2011.
