WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team travels to Princeton University for its final nonconference game on Saturday. Kickoff at Powers Field at Princeton Stadium is set for 1 p.m.

The game can be seen on NBC Sports Philadelphia, and will be broadcast simultaneously on the Ivy League Network and WatchESPN. Cody Chrusciel will call the play-by-play and Dave Giancola will provide color analysis while Jon Mozes will be reporting from the sidelines. Last Time Out
Playing at historic RFK Stadium, the Georgetown University football team lost to Harvard University, 41-2, last Saturday. Isaac Ellsworth (Bedford, Texas/Euless Trinity) had a strong game, accumulating 282 all-purpose yards. He rushed for 50 yards on eight carries and also had seven kick returns for 232 yards, including a 62-yard return to open the second half. On the defensive side, Blaise Brown (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine/Loomis Chaffee) earned Patriot League Honorable Mention honors, setting career highs with nine tackles, tying with teammate David Akere (Carrollton, Texas/Hebron) for game-high honors, and with two interceptions, both of which came in the red zone to halt long Harvard drives.

About the Matchup
Georgetown enters Saturday's matchup with a 2-7 all-time record against Princeton, with the Tigers having won the past two meetings. Last season, the Hoyas fell to Princeton, 31-17, at Cooper Field. Clay Norris (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) made his first career start and finished 13-of-26 for 106 yards, while Alex Valles (Danvers, Mass./Danvers) rushed 13 times for 87 yards and a touchdown. Leo Loughrey (C'17) led the GU defense with 13 tackles while Matthew Apuzzi (Princeton, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) and Akere each added 12. Jelani Williamson (Silver Spring, Md./Good Counsel) recorded his second interception in as many weeks and also returned a blocked field goal 51 yards for a touchdown.

GU last defeated Princeton in 2012, coming away with a 21-20 victory on Princeton's home field.

Saturday is Georgetown's third-consecutive matchup against an Ivy League program. The Hoyas are 4-12 in the past five years against opponents from the Ivy League and 3-6 under Head Coach Rob Sgarlata.

Scouting Princeton
The Tigers enter Saturday's contest with a 2-1 overall record and are looking to bounce back after a 28-24 loss last weekend to Columbia in their Ivy League opener. Princeton opened the season with wins over San Diego (27-17) and Patriot League member, Lafayette (38-17). The offense, which is averaging 29.7 points per game, is led by quarterback Chad Kanoff, who has completed 70 percent of his passes for 920 yards and nine touchdowns. Stephen Carlson and Jesper Horsted are his top two targets, averaging 97.3 and 87.3 receiving yards per game, respectively, and each have four receiving touchdowns. Charlie Volker leads the rushing attack with 91 yards per game. Thomas Johnson and Mark Fossati lead with defense with 28 tackles apiece, while CJ Wall has two interceptions in the backfield.

Looking Ahead
The Hoyas will remain on the road to open Patriot League play next weekend, traveling to Lehigh University for a matchup on Saturday, October 14. Kickoff at Goodman Stadium is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the Patriot League Network.
