WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team posted an opening round score of 295 to sit in fourth place after the first day of the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, hosted by Old Dominion, in Powells Point, North Carolina.

Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) carded an even-par 71 to tie for sixth-place while
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) shot a 1-over par 72 to tie for 10th overall.
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) finished 30th with a 75 and
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) posted a 77 to tie for 44th.
Will Rand (New York, N.Y. / Blair Academy [N.J.]) carded a 78 to tie for 65th to round out the Hoyas.
Campbell (277) leads the 18-team field as the only squad under par at -7. UNC Wilmington (287) is second, followed by Drexel (293), Georgetown (295) and Winthrop (297) as teams that all posted sub-300 rounds. The middle of the pack includes Delaware (300), George Mason (302), Drake (302) and the host Monarchs (302) all tied for seventh, followed by Nebraska-Omaha (304), Akron (306), Towson (306) and Hartford (307). Longwood (308), Saint Joseph's (308), North Dakota State (310), Manhattan (318) and St. Francis (Pa.) (324) round out the competition after 18 holes.
The ODU/OBX Intercollegiate resumes on Monday with another 18 holes at the Kilmarlic Golf Course. Georgetown tees off from the first hole, beginning at 9:15 a.m. with nine-minute intervals. The Hoyas are paired with Winthrop and Delaware for the day.
