WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team finished 10th overall at the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational, hosted by West Virginia, on Tuesday. The Hoyas shot rounds of 309, 301 and 310 for a three-round total of 920.
Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y. / McQuaid Jesuit) finished tied for 27th with a total score of 227 while
Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla. / Spanish River) and
Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C. / Westchester Country Day) both tied for 37th with matching scores of 230.
Will O'Neill (Morristown, N.J. / Morristown) tied for 49th at 235 while
Noah Moss (Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) tied for 71st in his first collegiate tournament.
West Virginia (866) won the tournament, followed by Davidson (877), Eastern Kentucky (889), James Madison (899), Rutgers (900) and Winthrop (906). Akron and Bowling Green both shot 912 to tie for seventh, followed by Boston College (913), Georgetown (920) and Seton Hall (924). Ohio and Marshall tied for 12th with 926 while St. John's rounded out the competition with 954.
The Hoyas return home to host the 34th Georgetown Intercollegiate on Oct. 15-16 at the Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Maryland.
