WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University field hockey team scored late in the fourth quarter, but Saint Francis (Pa.) scored the game winner in overtime to defeat the Hoyas 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss GU move to 5-10 overall, while the Red Flash improve to 4-10 on the year.

Abby Romig scored with 5:30 remaining in the first quarter to give Saint Francis a 1-0 lead.

The Hoyas attempted 13 shots in the third quarter while trying to erase the Red Flash 1-0 lead

Jax Van Der Veen scored halfway through the fourth quarter to tie the game 1-1. Cameron Rogers was credited with the assist.

Taylor Nesmith scored the game-winner for Saint Francis with 4:12 left in overtime.
