WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University field hockey team (5-11, 1-4 BIG EAST) suffered a tough 4-0 loss to No. 17 Liberty (9-3, 4-1 BIG EAST) Friday afternoon on Cooper Field. Prior to the game, the Hoyas congratulated seven seniors for their contributions and leadership to the program in their last game on the Hilltop.
HOW IT HAPPENED

LU's forward Daniella Rhodes scored on a breakaway with 4:29 remaining in the 1st quarter to give Liberty a 1-0 lead.

Liberty went up 2-0 after Rhodes scored her second goal of the game a minute into the 2nd quarter .

Rhodes scored her third goal in the 15th minute and LU's forward Jill Bolton scored seconds later to put the game out of reach.

Georgetown goalkeeper Ciara Weets continues to make a push for the BIG EAST saves title, collecting nine stops in the loss.

The Lady Flames outshot the Hoyas 22-2.
