WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team fell 3-2 (21-25, 19-25, 25-14, 27-25, 15-11) on the road at Xavier in BIG EAST action on Friday night in Cincinnati. The Hoyas fall to 12-11 overall and 2-7 in league play.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
•    The Hoyas have now played eight five-set matches this season, posting a 3-5 record after going the distance.
•    Five of GU's nine BIG EAST matches have gone five sets.
•    Peyton Wilhite and Riley Wertzberger posted career highs in kills, recording 18 and 17, respectively.
•    Iva Vujosevic posted 12 kills and 11 digs for her ninth double-double of the season.
•    Margo Snipe had seven kills and hit a solid .462 clip while Makayla Serrett added seven kills without committing an attack error.
•    Playing in her home state, Margo Pivonka narrowly missed out on a double-double with 43 assists and eight digs.
•    Defensvely, Jessica Cusi anchored the back row with 18 digs.
•    Serrett led all Hoyas with four blocks while Vujosevic and Jewell Johnson both had three.

XAVIER NOTES
•    The Musketeers improved to 8-11 overall and 5-6 in league play.
•    Lauren Hanlon led Xavier with 12 kills while Ellie Chaffee added 10.
•    Madi Kutruff led all players with 23 digs and Jayda Carlton had eight blocks.

Georgetown remains on the road to take on Butler on Sunday, Oct. 17 in Indianapolis.
