WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team fell 3-2 (21-25, 19-25, 25-14, 27-25, 15-11) on the road at Xavier in BIG EAST action on Friday night in Cincinnati. The Hoyas fall to 12-11 overall and 2-7 in league play.
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
• The Hoyas have now played eight five-set matches this season, posting a 3-5 record after going the distance.
• Five of GU's nine BIG EAST matches have gone five sets.

Peyton Wilhite and
Riley Wertzberger posted career highs in kills, recording 18 and 17, respectively.

Iva Vujosevic posted 12 kills and 11 digs for her ninth double-double of the season.

Margo Snipe had seven kills and hit a solid .462 clip while
Makayla Serrett added seven kills without committing an attack error.
• Playing in her home state,
Margo Pivonka narrowly missed out on a double-double with 43 assists and eight digs.
• Defensvely,
Jessica Cusi anchored the back row with 18 digs.
• Serrett led all Hoyas with four blocks while Vujosevic and
Jewell Johnson both had three.
XAVIER NOTES
• The Musketeers improved to 8-11 overall and 5-6 in league play.
• Lauren Hanlon led Xavier with 12 kills while Ellie Chaffee added 10.
• Madi Kutruff led all players with 23 digs and Jayda Carlton had eight blocks.
